  • “I went on a 14 day tour of New Zealands North and South Islands in January 2026. Travelling from the UK I was not sure what to expect but thanks to Lance and Sally's organisation and knowledge it was an amazing experience and I now have some great memories that will hopefully last a long time. I would definitely recommend Open Road to anyone considering a motorcycle road trip in New Zealand or Europe.”

  • “My wife and I went on the 14 day Twin Island tour. Booking a tour with Lance and Sally was the first big win of the trip, closely followed by the excellent roads, accommodations, meals, and sights on both islands. Lance and Sally were amazing hosts and could not do enough to assist us in enjoying every second of our trip. Sally’s extensive knowledge of each town and area was amazing, and Lance's ability to set a pace that allowed you to enjoy riding the roads while allowing us to slow down to take in the amazing views. • “From first contact I was impressed with how promptly any queries were dealt with. I did the 14 day twin island tour. It looked fantastic but in reality it far exceeded expectations. The bikes were great. The routes were a dream. The food and accommodations were way beyond expectations. My partner came along in the support vehicle and equally enjoyed the whole experience. Big big thanks to Sally and Lance who took great care to ensure everyone felt well looked after.”

We take you to corners of New Zealand most visitors drive past, and the evenings are part of the tour: hotels we choose ourselves, Pacific Rim cooking and good local wine and beer to go with it.
