Family-Run New Zealand Motorcycle Tours
Discover the passionate team behind Open Road - a small family-run motorcycle tour company based in sunny Northland. We specialise in creating unforgettable guided and self-guided motorbike adventures across New Zealand's most spectacular landscapes.
Your New Zealand Motorcycle Tour Guides
After experiencing incredible guided motorcycle tours overseas, we were inspired to share New Zealand's spectacular riding opportunities with fellow motorcycle enthusiasts from around the world.
Our international motorbike adventures showed us the power of expert local guides, quality motorcycles, and carefully planned routes. We discovered amazing scenery, made lifelong friends, and experienced the joy of exploring new countries on two wheels.
That's when we realised New Zealand offers some of the world's most spectacular motorcycle touring - from the North Island's volcanic landscapes to the South Island's alpine passes. Our mission became clear: showcase these incredible roads and warm Kiwi hospitality to motorcycle riders worldwide.
Join us for a guided or self-guided motorcycle tour across New Zealand's most scenic routes. As a family-run business based in Northland, we're passionate about creating unforgettable motorbike experiences. We might start as strangers, but by tour's end, we're all great mates!

A laid back dude, Cesar is always on the lookout for a good scratch, or even better, a treat. Cesar is waiting for the day Lance buys a Ural with a sidecar so that he can join in on the adventures.
Aranui
Open Road Mascot
Aranui means "great path" in Māori, reflecting the journey through New Zealand's breathtaking landscapes. Meet the Kea, an intelligent and curious parrot found in the Southern Alps. Encounter these cheeky birds on our South Island Tours, but be cautious—they might try to inspect your bike!
