There’s something special about the South Island — the scale, the silence, the way the road seems to lead you somewhere extraordinary at every turn. This tour is designed to showcase it all, from world-class alpine riding to the remote beauty of Fiordland.

Starting and finishing in Christchurch, you’ll ride deep into the heart of the Southern Alps, tackling all three iconic passes — Haast, Arthur’s, and Lewis. Each one delivers its own rhythm and character, from sweeping curves to dramatic mountain scenery that keeps your eyes working overtime.

One of the true highlights of this journey is an overnight cruise on Doubtful Sound. Tucked away in Fiordland National Park, this is New Zealand at its most untouched — towering peaks, still waters, and a sense of remoteness that’s hard to put into words.

You’ll also ride one of the most scenic stretches of road in the country as we head towards Aoraki / Mount Cook. Following the vivid blue of Lake Pukaki, with the Southern Alps rising ahead, it’s a ride that consistently ranks as a favourite with our riders — and for good reason.

As with all our tours, it’s not just about the riding. We’ve carefully selected boutique accommodation along the way, places where you can relax, recharge, and enjoy genuine Kiwi hospitality. Evenings are about good food, great company, and sharing the day’s ride.
